Legal Support Officer (Paralegal)

Do you want to use your legal administrative skills and knowledge to support our department and organization? We are looking for a Legal Support Officer (Paralegal).
Please note: fluency in Dutch is a must have for this position!
What will you do?
In this role, you will work closely with project managers and legal experts to establish agreements and subsidy applications. You will also support them with various legal matters and ensure the smooth administrative processing of contracts. Thanks to your efforts, internal coordination and handling of legal files will be efficient and accurate. You will be part of a friendly and dynamic team and will have responsibility for your own workload. In short, you will be the key link between business developers, project managers, legal experts, and financial (project) controllers.
Your main tasks:
- advising on the appropriate type of agreement and referring cases to legal experts when necessary;
- managing and administratively processing legal files;
- drafting and handling legal (standard) agreements in collaboration with legal experts;
- preparing proposed amendments to standard contracts and general terms and conditions;
- providing support on the legal aspects of (subsidy) projects.
You will be working in a friendly team of 5 legal experts, 4 legal support officers (paralegals), an administrative assistant, a local privacy officer, a subsidy advisor, and a manager.
Your qualities
- you have an HBO (higher professional education) level of thinking and working (a completed HBO degree in a legal field is a plus);
- you can work both independently and in a team;
- you are service-oriented, well-organized, and able to set priorities;
- you are flexible, proactive, and have strong communication skills;
- you have a good command of both Dutch and English, both written and spoken, to handle English-language legal documents as well.
As our international working environment is increasingly English-speaking, a B2 language level is required for this position. If you do not yet meet this level, no worries! We offer language courses at Wageningen in’to Language.
