Who are we?
We are the Support Team CPT. Our team provides specialized support to researchers, lecturers, and PhD candidates from three chair groups: Strategic Communication (COM), Philosophy (PHI), and Knowledge, Technology, and Innovation (KTI). We ensure that our colleagues can fully focus on their core tasks: education and research. Our support ranges from educational administration and financial management to facility tasks and business operations. Together, we form a close-knit, diverse team with a focus on innovation and collaboration.

What will you do?
As a Management/Office Assistant with a financial specialization, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks. You will support management in daily activities and combine this with financial administration. Your tasks will include:

Management/Office Assistant Tasks:

  • Managing the professor’s calendar and email inbox.
  • Supporting PhD processes.
  • Organizing workshops and conferences.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for internal and external communications.
  • Educational administration, such as grade registration and student contact.

Financial Tasks:

  • Processing financial data and monitoring budgets.
  • Assisting in project management and acquisition.
  • Preparing personnel appointments and tracking time allocations.
  • Drafting quotes, concept invoices, and payment requests.
  • Collecting and processing financial data for the annual research inventory.

Your qualities

You are a proactive and initiative-driven professional who enjoys supporting your colleagues. You work well in a team and have a service-oriented mindset. You excel in organization, are flexible, and capable of setting priorities. An affinity for financial processes is essential. You work accurately, ensuring that both financial and administrative tasks are carried out with precision.

You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English. Experience with software programs such as ProQme, Osiris, Brightspace, Pure, and Hora Finita is a plus but not required.

Your knowledge and experience:

  • Educational level: MBO+/HBO.
  • Work experience: Experience in administrative tasks, financial management, secretarial work, or as a management/office assistant is an advantage.
  • Communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • Experience with MS Office and the ability to quickly learn new systems.

Proficiency in English is necessary for this position. The desired language level is B2. More information about this level can be found in the document Taalniveau.

Along with these outstanding secondary benefits, we offer a competitive salary. Depending on your experience, we provide a market-based salary ranging from a minimum of €2,693 to a maximum of €3,636 for a full 38-hour workweek, in accordance with the CAO for Dutch Universities (scale 7).

This is a long-term position. Initially, we offer a one-year contract, with the intention of converting it to a permanent contract upon satisfactory performance.
