Our BI team supports and accelerates WUR's business operations through automated, intelligent, reliable and engaging management information, with a focus on HR, Finance and project processes.
We are looking for a BI Specialist who, together with the other colleagues in the BI team, will be responsible for the development and management of WUR's enterprise data warehouse. The data warehouse is used within WUR for management information about the business processes. As a "linking pin" to the business, you are responsible for the further development of the data warehouse and the conversion of data into valuable information. So you can further develop our PowerBI platform.

THE FUNCTION
What are you going to do?

  • You unlock data from source systems and translate this data into our data warehouse;
  • Delivering management reports;
  • You realize the migration from BODS to our new Microsoft environment;
  • Building and maintaining reports and dashboards;
  • In consultation with HR, Finance and Project Management, you define requirements (with the aim of continuously improving our BI solution);
  • By developing our PowerBI platform.

Your qualities

  • At least a completed college education;
  • You have a good command of Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing;
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and experience with the Microsoft BI platform (including SSIS, SSAS Tabular and Power BI);
  • Experience with programming in T-SQL and DAX;
  • You know the best practices related to PowerBI and Tabular and you are able to apply them within the WUR context.
You are flexible, customer-oriented and recognize the question behind the question. You have strong analytical and communication skills and work well together within WUR's standardized working methods
Our IT department, consisting of 200 employees, offers a modern ICT environment for education and research. We work in multidisciplinary teams on digitization, self-service, security, data management, high performance computing and cloud strategy, which offers plenty of development and career opportunities for specialists.
