As a member of the Real Estate & Housing Management Team, you will develop your team and focus on the business and business aspects of files and projects. As Manager of the Operation Office (6 FTE) of the (RE&H) department, you will lead a team that supports the department with project/portfolio management, energy management, financial reporting and legal knowledge. The Operation Office manages systems such as Planon, BIM, GIS and the VPD app. The main products delivered by the Operation Office are: the housing account (HVR), real estate reporting (VGR) and group budgets. Important developments that you will focus on as a Manager of the Operation Office are strengthening the foundation, implementing project/portfolio management and professionalizing real estate information and energy management.

What does your work entail in concrete terms?
  • You develop your team and are responsible for the HR cycle;
  • You are responsible for the planning and control cycle within V&H;
  • You optimize, streamline the work processes within V&H and supervise compliance with internal processes, including unambiguous data management;
  • Portfolio holdership WOZ, pollution levies and insurances;
  • Setting up grant management within WUR.
In this role, you will communicate with managers from various WUR organisational units and Corporate Finance & Control. You will also work closely with fellow MT members for day-to-day affairs and strategic development of the Real Estate & Housing department, and you will coordinate with managers from Real Estate Policy, Building and Housing Management and Safety & Environment for optimisation of project/portfolio management and collaboration.
 
Real Estate and Housing (RE&H) is part of the Facilities Department of Wageningen University & Research (WUR). The Facilities Department (550 employees) is a progressive professional service provider. RE&H (approximately 75 employees) develops, manages and maintains WUR's building stock (approximately 650,000 m2 GFA) and has a very diverse real estate portfolio. For RE&H, important themes are Campus development, Strategic Housing Plan, energy transition buildings, development of Real Estate Information Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, (OH&S) safety and the environment, sustainable building and increasing data-driven services (including smart buildings).

Your qualities

To be able to perform this role well, we think it is important that you have a hands-on mentality, are proactive, analytical and honest. In addition, you have:
  • Minimum HBO working and thinking level;
  • You have a good command of both Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing;
  • At least 5 years of experience in a financial or business advisory position;
  • Experience in managing professionals;
  • Experience in real estate, construction and maintenance processes and being able to make calculations in the field of real estate (NPV, lease, internal rent settlements and the like);
  • Knowledge of and experience in leading projects and managing change processes.

Depending on your experience, we offer a competitive salary of a minimum of €4,344 to a maximum of €6,522 for a full working week of 36 hours in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement Wageningen Research (scale 12). In addition, an appointment of at least 0.8 FTE is negotiable.
