Your job

Wageningen University & Research (WUR) is a globally leading university and research organization in the fields of Healthy Food and Living Environment. Also, for 19 consecutive years, WUR has been voted the best university in the Netherlands by our students, a distinction we take pride in.

WUR’s mission is to “explore the potential of nature to improve the quality of life.”

We achieve this through research, education, and value creation, as well as through programmes and training for professionals from both the private and public sectors (Continuing Education). Through Continuing Education, WUR provides professionals from around the world with the knowledge and skills to understand and drive significant global transitions, ranging from climate change to food security. Our offerings vary from two-year online master's programs to three-day courses.

In the coming years, WUR aims to further strengthen its position in this growing market. To achieve this, we are seeking a driven Campaign Marketer who will create targeted marketing campaigns to promote our education for professionals. The Campaign Marketer will focus primarily on the online master’s programmes.

Your Challenge:

  • You are responsible for the cost-effective marketing of Continuing Education through suitable propositions and a campaign-based approach;

  • You collaborate with content marketers, online marketing specialists, and data analysts to maximize the effectiveness of your campaigns;
  • You evaluate and optimize your marketing campaigns based on data and report on the results.

Your qualities

  • You have 5+ years of hands-on experience in a marketing role;
  • You speak and write fluent Dutch;
  • You have experience in developing propositions, managing marketing campaigns, and leading content marketers or agencies;
  • A data-driven approach is second nature to you. You know which data to analyze and why, and you can extract actionable insights to improve your campaigns;
  • You have a (foundational) knowledge of advertising platforms such as Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads and affiliate channels;
  • You are organizationally sensitive and persuasive. You know how to engage stakeholders and bring them along with your viewpoint;
  • You have a hands-on mentality and are independent-minded and assertive.
In our international working environment there is an increasing amount of communication in English. For this position it is about language level C1.

You will work here
You are part of the Continuing Education Marketing Team, a small team that communicates openly and adapts quickly. The team is part of the broader marketing team at WUR, which has expertise in areas such as CRO, SEA/SEO, email, social media, and data.
