EndNote 21
You can now download EndNote 21 from the WUR software center. EndNote 21 is the latest version and includes a few new features.
What's new in EndNote 21?
EndNote 21 is extremely similar to EndNote 20. You'll work in exactly the same interface and use the same buttons and functionalities.
There following functionalities are new:
- Tags – this adds a level of organization to your library. You can quickly add tags while working on your references.
- New EndNote Web interface – this makes using EndNote Web much easier. The interface is optimized for both desktop and mobile users. It allows you to access your library anytime anywhere. It also synchronizes your PDFs and annotations. EndNote Web is meant to be used with EndNote desktop and is not meant to replace the desktop version.
- Increased sharing capabilities – you can now share your library or folders with up to 1000 colleagues.
- New restoration options – once your library is synced, you have more options to recover your library if you make a mistake or your computer fails. Despite this functionality we still advise you to regularly back up your library.
How do I install EndNote 21 or how do I upgrade to EndNote 21?
We recommend that WUR staff install EndNote 21 through the software center and students through the WUR app store. You can also find the installation files on our website.
You can install EndNote 21 even if you’re not currently an EndNote user. If you’re already a user, EndNote 21 will offer to replace your current version with the newest one. If you already use EndNote 20, you can also wait until you get prompted.
