Introduction to GitLab
WUR Library's Research Support team organises workshops on GitLab, in collaboration with the eScience Center and based on the Software Carpentries curriculum. See the Calendar for the upcoming workshops.
About Git
Git is a protocol for collaborative software version control. Using Git to manage your code lets you track changes and collaborate with multiple colleagues on the same project. It is a crucial and widely used standard in large tech companies and many open-source communities. In scientific programming, Git is also the standard; therefore, this skill is highly relevant for all scientific fields.
Researchers and Students at WUR have access to the Gitlab service at at https://git.wur.n, a server on which source code can be shared and edited through the Git protocol.
