Researcher on the Impact of Manure Policy on Agricultural Operations

Wageningen Economic Research is looking for a Researcher on the Impact of Manure Policy on Agricultural Operations, who can fully dedicate themselves to the analysis of panel data.
In this role, you will become the expert who translates the results of panel data analyses into valuable insights for governments, sector organisations, and agricultural businesses. Your expertise is crucial for the National Monitoring Network for Manure Policy Effects (LMM). In addition to these tasks, you will also contribute to projects investigating the relationship between agriculture, the environment, and nature. This involves collaboration with other departments of Wageningen University & Research and knowledge partners.
As a Researcher on the Impact of Manure Policy on Agricultural Operations, you will be an important link within the Performance & Impact Agrisectors expertise group. This group comprises passionate professionals dedicated to sustainable agriculture and a vibrant countryside. The group conducts economic sector studies for governments, sector organisations, and the business community, providing independent advice based on scientific insights. The projects you will work on are very diverse, ranging from monitoring and scenario studies to measuring sustainability performances of sectors and companies, as well as policy evaluations and explorations.

Your qualities
- We are looking for someone with a completed master's degree in agricultural economics, or an IT/Data Management master’s with knowledge of the agricultural sector.
- It would be fantastic if you have knowledge of panel data analysis techniques and programming languages.
- Having an affinity with the agricultural sector, particularly with arable farming or intensive livestock farming, is logical for this role.
- You will be working in an international environment where English is an important language. It is crucial to have a C1 language level. If you do not yet have this level, you can attain it at our language centre, Wageningen in’to Language.
- We are looking for someone who is accurate, has a well-developed analytical ability, and is both relationship- and result-oriented.
