Curriculum Designer/Developer

Are you passionate about designing and developing innovative, high-quality academic programmes? Do you excel at creating learner-centred, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary curricula? If so, read on! It is a challenging role with a lot of independence and the possibility to work part-time (0.8 FTE).
The Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC) at Wageningen University & Research seeks a Curriculum Designer / Developer to support and drive educational innovation. In this role, you will collaborate with programme directors, committees, colleagues and other stakeholders to design, develop, and enhance academic programmes aligning with the University’s educational vision.
You will support the entire curriculum development and redesign process—from analysis to evaluation—ensuring programmes meet the highest standards of academic excellence and relevance. You’ll also facilitate workshops to engage stakeholders, foster collaboration, and translate insights into effective curricula.
Additionally, you will support the launch of new programmes by managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and by sharing your expertise through training materials and resources. As curriculum support is a growing service within TLC, your contributions will play a key role in shaping and sustaining innovative educational practices at WUR.
Your qualities
You are a professional with:
- A passion for education with a relevant MSc degree in the field of Educational or pedagogical sciences, instructional design OR similar,
- Minimal 5 years of relevant work experience and a proven record in the development, coordination and delivery of curriculum (re)designs in higher education,
- Familiarity with educational governance and sensitivity to the political dynamics of curriculum design in higher education,
- Excellent proficiency in English (C2), and adequate knowledge of the Dutch language, at least at B2 level (above average),
- Competencies: manage deadlines and competing priorities effectively; ability to work agile; strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders (programme directors, teachers and other academic and technical experts), intercultural sensitivity, political dynamics; solution-oriented, assertive team player; creative and curious.
