The police are calling on anyone with information about the recent assault on Wageningen Campus to come forward. Tv programme "Plaats Delict" is showing footage of the assault. The police hope that people will recognise the perpetrators or provide other relevant information.

On the evening of Friday 5 April, a Chinese PhD student was cycling with his girlfriend near Forum when a member of a group of youths threw a stone at him. The victim tried to confront them but was subsequently beaten and kicked. His bicycle was also vandalised. The young man had to be treated for his injuries at the medical post in Ede.

On "Plaats Delict", a programme of Omroep Gelderland, the police are showing footage of the assault. The police are particularly asking if anyone recognises three boys involved in the assault, but they also encourage anyone with tips about the group of youths to come forward.

On Monday 17 June, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, an information session will be held about the physical safety of (international) students, PhD candidates, and staff on and around Wageningen Campus. The police will provide information about what victims can and are allowed to do themselves, and what the role of the police and judiciary is. Representatives from the municipality of Wageningen, WUR, and support professionals will also be present at the meeting.
