Roy van Beek on National Geographic Channel about bog bodies
The National Geographic Channel has recently started a new series on 'Ancient Bodies', in which famous archaeological finds like Otzi, southern American 'ice mummies' and various bog bodies are presented. Roy van Beek, Associate Professor in Landscape Archaeology, participated in the episodes on the Dutch finds known as the Weerdinge Pair and Yde Girl, both about 2000 years old. He reflects on these finds and tells about the great cultural historical value of bog landscapes.
