  The Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) of the AWI provides independent advice to the Board of Governors and the Board of Directors in the areas of research, logistics and coordination. It promotes contact with institutions that are active in the Foundation’s field of work both within Germany and abroad. The SAB makes recommendations on the Foundation’s research programs, including planned cooperation with national and international institutions.
