Khayeka-Wandabwa (B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.) is a molecular epidemiologist who seeks to combine traditional epidemiological concepts on study design and risk measurement with principles from molecular and cellular biology. His research focuses on gene-environment interaction; non-communicable diseases (NCDs) risk factors and the evolving role of nutrition; comorbidity of NCDs and infectious diseases with correlated social policies influences; food and nutrition literacy (FNLIT) and health linkages. Being trained both in laboratory research and, population science through experiential learning and self-driven urge, Khayeka has extensive experience in conducting fundamental research, epidemiological studies and clinical investigations with a bias for Sub-Sahara Africa (SSA) context.
