Project
SMP 2112 Seaweed cultivation in Vietnam for feed and methane reduction in Vietnam
Seaweeds serve as a source of raw materials in a number of industries, including its use as feed. Although research on seaweed inclusion in animal feed is an emerging field, seaweed may provide both nutritional and nutraceutical benefits to animals, as well as impact methane emissions produced by livestock (Morais et al., 2020). Thus, seaweed as feed has a great potential that needs to be further explored. In our project, we focus on seaweed species cultivated in Vietnam that can be used in the animal feed industry.
