Project
Rethink post-harvest management
Seed money project to involve stakeholders in the postharvest domain in biodiversity strengthening actions or projects.
Efficient postharvest management can help to reduce food loss & wastes which has significant impacts on biodiversity losses.
New production methods aimed at improving biodiversity, need adapted postharvest management to deal with increased variation of products, reduced use of crop protecting agents, and altered chain design. Without appropriate adaptations, postharvest management can result in serious food loss and waste, straining biodiversity. Creating awareness with stakeholders is the first step towards engagement. In this project potential actions are explored.
