Stories from our entrepreneurs

Alessia Capurso
Alessia Capurso won the 2022 Impact Award of the AtlasInvest Entrepreneurship Grant because of her unique idea to cultivate certain types of mushrooms.
Since we received the Grant, we’ve started growing shiitakes. We are also testing lion’s mane mushroom and I want to grow at least one other species.

Carlos Cabrera
Carlos Cabrera and his teammate Juan Cajiao have been able to expand their company on separation technology through winning the 2020 Start-Up Award of the AtlasInvest Entrepreneurship Grant.
We were with the four of us back then. We now employ eight people at Greencovery and have our own lab at the Wageningen Business Park

Niek Savelkoul
Niek Savelkoul and his teammate Bart Scholten won the 2021 Start-Up Award of the AtlasInvest Entrepreneurship Grant through their work with CRISPR-Cas.
The Grant gave us the room we needed to prepare our next step. From a platform technology with no fixed application, we switched to an agri-food application.
