Operational Technician
Your job
You are a knowledgeable professional who sees it as a challenge to prevent problems in installations. You like variety and are able to solve problems that arise with sound knowledge. You estimate the scope and consequences of signals well and you always act with a great sense of responsibility. You are flexible and make every effort to act in time to prevent escalation.
Your duties and responsibilities as an Operational Technician are:
- Performing 1st line fault service;
- Supporting the technical building manager;
- Picking up work that comes in through our fmis system;
- Supervising third parties;
- Performing OP duties.
Your qualities

You have a flexible, accurate and customer-oriented attitude. You are a team player and love to work together. You love nothing more than solving problems and have a learning attitude.
You also possess:
- Education MBO 3 or 4 electrical engineering + knowledge of and experience in the field of measurement and control technology;
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience;
- Willingness to work irregular working hours according to established work schedules;
- Living at a maximum of 30 minutes by car from the Wageningen location, due to the response time of the breakdown service;
- In possession of driving license B;
- Dutch level C1 is mandatory;
- VCA basis.
You will work here
Building and Installation Service (BIS) is part of the Property & Housing Department within the Facility Management Department of Wageningen UR. BIS performs owner and user maintenance on building-related installations of Wageningen UR. In addition, BIS is responsible for solving (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) 1st line breakdowns of complex installations.
