Your job

Do you have an MLO or HLO degree and are ready for a new challenge? Are you interested in a role as an analyst specializing in virological serology of animal diseases in an inspiring and dynamic environment? Do you want to develop your skills in virological diagnostics? At Wageningen Bioveterinary Research (WBVR), you can contribute to a healthy living environment for both humans and animals!

What Will You Do?
We, Wageningen Bioveterinary Research (WBVR), are looking for an enthusiastic analyst to join our Virological Serology team. Together with your colleagues, you will conduct diagnostics on large numbers of samples, screening for animal diseases such as bluetongue or avian influenza.

You will work on a variety of tests, including virus neutralization tests (VNTs) and virus isolations. Flexibility is key in this role, as you may also be assigned to other departments within WBVR or asked to assist during animal disease outbreaks.

The work will take place in facilities subject to additional quarantine restrictions upon leaving (based on EU regulations). This means that keeping cloven-hoofed animals is not permitted. Additionally, contact with these animals and poultry production facilities is prohibited for 72 hours after completing your tasks.
