SWU Thymos Internal Competitions
SWU Thymos organises internal competitions 3 times a year of several sports. It is free to participate if you have sports rights, so why do you not give it a shot?
Register your team as a captain to join the next round of TIC's that will take place! Also, you can subscribe individually or with one or two friends. In this case, we will find a team for you to join.
Registration
Round 1 of the SWU Thymos Internal Competition will take in period 1 and 2, round 2 takes place in period 3 and 4 and round 3 takes place in period 5 and 6. To register a team you first need to become a “team captain”. You can become a team captain by filling in the forms under the team registration header. Once you’re a team captain you will be send the team captains manual telling you exactly how to register a full team for each competition. Whether you'd like to register a team for the current round or sign up individually to be placed in a team, you can find the instructions in the paragraphs below.
Team registration
Register your team for the internal competitions as a captain to join the next round of TIC's that will take place! New team captains can register via the link below until the 30th of March 2025 23:59. Team captains that already have captain rights can add their team to the BSA without signing up as a captain again.
Individual registration
It is also possible to register individually for the internal competition. We will try to make a team with individual registrations or find a team for you! It is also possible to join with one or two friends, in which case we will also find a team for you to join.
Thymos Internal Competitions (TICs)
Beach volleyball
Beach volleyball is one of the sports of the internal competition! it is played during the first and third round of the SWU Thymos Internal Competitions due to the weather. Compete with at least four team members against other teams while getting the beach feeling! A game takes 30 minutes and are played on one of the beach fields outside at the SCB.
Knotsball
Knotsball is a popular sport in Wageningen. It is played 4 against 4, both teams try to hit a rubber ball against the opponent's mat with a club (knots). The club is a stick with a 'head' of foam. The team has to be made up of at least one woman and have at least 4 members. Matches are 30 minutes long and played on 1/3 of the Sports Hall. At the maximum, 40 teams compete in this competition! Your own knots? Do you want your own knots? You can buy your own Knots at the SWU Thymos office at Sports Centre the Bongerd for €8,50!
Soccer
Do you not feel like playing soccer at home every weekend or do you want to play as often as possible? We will organise the SWU Thymos Internal Competition soccer for you! Soccer is played 7 against 7 on half of the soccer field. Matches are 60 minutes long and a maximum of 32 teams can participate in this competition! During the matches, you can substitute unlimited and the offside rule will not be used. Other than that, all normal soccer rules apply.
Futsal
The word futsal is derived from the Spanish words 'futbol' (soccer) and 'sala' (hall). Futsal takes place on the C field (next to the tennis courts) and is played 5 against 5. A match takes 1 hour with unlimited substitutions giving everyone a chance to give everything during these fast paced matches. Except for offside all the regular football rules apply to this beautiful game.
