Dutch Soil Information System (SIS)
Soil data are in the top 5 of data most used by government. The Dutch Soil Information System (SIS) provides governmental bodies and companies with access to Dutch soil data and with scenarios for sustainable soil and groundwater use. Using those data, the effects of policy measures and management decisions on soil and groundwater can be calculated.
The system contains up to date information about the Dutch soil, collected and ordered systematically. Part of the Dutch Soil Information System is also part of the Key Registration Subsurface (BRO) of the Netherlands.
