Data and models

Collecting and analysing data is one of the core values of our institute. Wageningen Economic Research has access to an unprecedented amount of data on, among other things, food and health.

It is available through our own data collection and through participation in international networks such as Eurostat, FAOSTAT and the OECD. Using the latest techniques, such as machine learning and advanced computation, as well as years of sector expertise, we translate this data into solutions for companies and governments, using our models. Through our internationally renowned models, such as MAGNET and AGMEMOD, we not only say something about the past but also help predict scenarios for the future.
