Ruben Mc Carthy: During my time at Nematology I gained useful new skills
It was a pleasure to finish my master by doing my research practice at Nematology. During my project, I performed an experiment in the greenhouse, as well as bioinformatic work. In the end, I am proud of everything that I learned, and of the work that I did during these four months.
During my time at Nematology I gained useful new skills
I had very little experience with bioinformatics when I started at Nematology. With all the support I received from my supervisors and other people from the department, I gained core bioinformatic skills that are a great addition to my study program. I was given space to work and learn independently, but everyone in the department was always open to help me when needed.
The pleasant atmosphere made Nematology a very nice place to spend these four months. There were many nice discussions, both work-related and about all kinds of other things. One thing that was very outstanding was how everyone made me feel very welcome. I really enjoyed spending my time with the people from Nematology.
During my time at Nematology I gained useful new skills, and I was able to apply my knowledge and skills to interesting research. All that I learned during my time here will come in handy in my future career. I am thrilled that I had the opportunity to finish my master here at Nematology.
