Department of Animal Sciences

We closely cooperate with the industry, (inter)national research institutes and other research groups within the Department of Animal Sciences and within Wageningen University & Research, such as the Laboratory of Food Chemistry and Laboratory of Microbiology.

Department of Animal Sciences

The Department of Animal Sciences is involved in research and education related to the function, behaviour and biology of animals. We focus on three main areas: 1. Animal welfare in sustainable food systems 2. Human and animal health in mutual interaction 3. Animals in biodiversity and ecosystems.

Centre for Animal Nutrition

The Animal Nutrition Group is the founding member of the Centre for Animal Nutrition, a collaboration between three internationally recognized animal nutrition groups in the Netherlands. The Centre develops fundamental and application-oriented expertise in animal nutrition and ensures the exchange and transfer of this expertise to government agencies, businesses, the primary animal nutrition sectors, societal institutions, NGOs and students.
