8th newsletter of the Healthy Livestock project
The 8th and final newsletter of the Healthy Livestock project contains information about the research performed within this project to enhance animal health and welfare to reduce antimicrobials use in pigs and poultry.
In this newsletter, information about the final consortium meeting “Science meets Industry: Reducing antimicrobial use in Livestock” that was organized in Wageningen, The Netherland, can among others be found.
The Adaptation Physiology group was also involved in the Healthy Livestock project and worked on improvement of resilience, targeted use of medication, and validation of potential solutions to reduce antimicrobial use. This has already resulted in a few valuable studies that were published in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
