Antifouling coating with polypeptides self-assembly on diferent surfaces
We are trying to design new biomaterial that can coat surface then empower surface with antifouling properties----which is BME protein. This protein have three part, B, is surface binding part; M, is multimerization domain, and E, is hydrophilic elastin-like polypeptide. Based on our research, this construct works very well on metal, mineral and plastic surface. As the coating can prevent non-specific adsorption from other proteins, which is promising in biosensing and biomedical application. The picture is the measurement of the coating layer against fluorescent labeled BSA via microfludic channel(plastic surface).
