Education - ir. SN (Simon) Wanyonyi MSc

Simon Ndeweni is currently pursuing a PhD at Wageningen University & Research, where his research centers on optimizing rainwater harvesting strategies for Kenya’s semi-arid regions. His academic path is marked by a strong commitment to enhancing climate resilience and fostering sustainable water solutions, closely aligning his education with his mission to tackle urgent water and environmental challenges. 

Simon holds an MSc in Geo-information Science & Earth Observation for Water Resources and Environmental Management from the University of Twente in the Netherlands, where he specialized in sustainable water resource management and applied advanced geospatial techniques for hydrological analysis. He also holds a BSc in Water and Environmental Engineering from Egerton University in Kenya, with a focus on integrated water management and conservation practices.
