UPWAS - Upscaling Water Storage (2022-2027)
Water management in The Netherlands traditionally focused on discharge, but with recent periods of drought, adaptations seem necessary. Within UPWAS we investigate ways to increase water storage on farm and within the agricultural landscape. Solutions are being sought within three pillars that are distinguished: crop choice and management (agonomy); (social) hydrology; and governance.
