O (Oona) Morrow PhD
Universitair hoofddocentI am an Associate Professor in Food Sociology at RSO. Since completing my PhD in geography I have worked for a rural anti-poverty agency in Massachusetts and as a postdoctoral research fellow with SHARECITY at Trinity College in Ireland. My work is broadly concerned with the economic politics of everyday life – a theme I explore through the practice and politics of food provisioning in cities, communities, and households.

Fields of Interest
I am interested in supervising students who are interested in everyday life as a site for social innovation and social change. I encourage a generous and reparative stance towards research that nurtures a politics of possibility while also attending to questions of power, equity, and justice.
In terms of research topics, I am currently recruiting students with an interest in diverse food economies, urban and rural food challenges, food waste, food sharing, social innovation, urban food policy, and food commons.
