My research is part of the project 'Nutrition in Nursing Education', which is part of the Regio Deal Foodvalley (work package 6.1, track 2). Within this project we study which barriers and facilitators nurses perceive in healthy eating support among (home-dwelling) patients. We also explore nurses' training need regarding this theme. Study findings will be used for development of (further) training for current and future nurses. In addition, theories and models about behaviour change and lifestyle interventions will be used for training development. The ultimate goal is to equip healthcare professionals in counselling and supporting patients toward healthy behaviour change. In order to promote patients' health and wellbeing.
