  Erik, a Marine Biologist holding a PhD in deep-sea sponge ecophysiology, serves as the Dive Safety Officer for the Wageningen University and Research (Netherlands). His primary role involves shaping the next generation of researchers in scientific diving techniques and ensuring their safety during diving-based sampling worldwide. 

  Past projects:

  Early career researcher in the EU Horizon2020 project SponGES - Deep-sea Sponge Ground Ecosystems of the North Atlantic: an integrated approach towards their preservation and sustainable exploitation.
