On the morning of Wednesday 19 June, pro-Palestinian activists blocked access roads to the campus. Traffic was blocked at the main campus entrance near Atlas and at the back entrance near Unifarm. Rens Buchwaldt, member of the Executive Board, reacts to the action.

Buchwaldt: "The blockade has once again disrupted education and research, and this time even promotions and graduation ceremonies. First, it is annoying to be stuck in a traffic jam for a long time. But when you miss your grandchild's graduation, it is just sad.

Over the past few weeks, the form of the campaign has posed a dilemma for the board. Firstly, because most of the interaction with the protesters is 'forced'. In this way you cannot have an academic and free debate. We've already indicated that we want to have the conversation with the WUR community through our Let's Explore approach.
