Data Science Education
WDCC, in cooperation with Wageningen Education Experience, has performed an analysis of the experiences of students and teaching staff with the Data Science education offering. According to WDCC, the information provision about data science can be improved. The questions asked during 2 interactive sessions were: do students and teachers view the scattered information on offered learning in data science as an issue? How do they find information? What do they expect to find? On what level do they want to gain more knowledge? 21 participants (9 students, 4 PhD candidates, 8 teachers) attended the sessions and provided input and feedback.
The results point to 3 focus areas and recommendations:
- Information Provision
- Course offer & centralised vision
- Integrated Data Science

WDCC is planning to use the insights and advice to provide better access to data science education material to students and teachers.
