Welcome to the locker page! As you are not satisfied with how things are in the university, we would like to help you. Did you know that the Education Experience Team has been a part of creating changes within WUR? We would like to hear what you are unsatisfied about and change this during our sessions with your input!

What the scheduling looks like at the other universities (a visual was created); explanation of the differences in ECTS and how to deal with this.

Upcoming:

Access to EduXchange will be improved via links for more awareness and visibility. E.g. in Osiris and on the WUR ebsite.

Inclusion in WUR & SSC

Training for SSC staff

An email training and phone training for SSC staff has been organised.(for example: guessing training on being unbiased based on how the name sounds or voice sounds and asking for pronouns)

LGBTI+ bookshelf

An LGBTI+ bookshelf has been made in the library with new books on the LGBTI+ community.

Talks for awareness

There are now talks inviting deans and psychologists to create more awareness of the different student backgrounds in WUR. This is not only culturally, but also regarding e.g. neurodiversity, and living situations.

Welcoming all

There is more attention in the preparations for the start of the academic year, especially a focus on making international students feel welcome.

Study Anytime Anyplace

Presence during AID:

To get students aware at the start of the year, a few actions will be taken in the AID. There will be information on what SAA means in daily life. What is expected before the start of a course (e.g. installing the required software, that it’s wise to bring your charger to classes, that you can get IT support etc.). Additionally, a powerpoint slide that includes the presentations of all study advisers will be shown.

IT practice day:

There will be an organised IT practice day for students to get familiar with the used systems and tools.
