Support students in force majeure situations with the Louise O. Fresco Fund
The Louise O. Fresco Fund provides financial support to WUR students in extraordinary circumstances and in situations of force majeure.
Target group
The fund supports current WUR students of all disciplines and nationalities who still have a short period to go in order to graduate or obtain a PhD. It must concern students who find themselves in financial difficulties due to special circumstances or circumstances beyond their control. Bachelor students and Master students as well as PhD students without a contract at WUR are eligible for financial support. The fund does not contribute to tuition fees.
In addition, the fund supports academically trained refugees without status in taking a number of courses at WUR, so that they can update their knowledge and feel like a student or researcher.
The impact of your donation
Your donation allows students, who have encountered financial problems through no fault of their own, to still graduate and start their career as 'Wageninger'. In addition, you give highly educated refugees the opportunity to feel more than a refugee, to feel like a researcher or student again and to get acquainted with WUR, while waiting for their immigration procedure.

The students and young researchers form the heart of the university. They are the new generation in our field who can make a difference. We need all the talents to work on the big issues of our time. I like to support young motivated people who need something extra. Anyone who has studied at Wageningen University & Research is forever part of the involved WUR community, and I am happy to contribute to that myself.
