Growing green ideas: Sustainability in academic education

Samenvatting

“Growing green ideas” investigated the environmental impact on practical level (expressed in CO2 equivalent emissions) of academic courses as provided by the chairgroup “Soil Geography and Landscape” at Wageningen University. The project provided background and supporting theory, found sources to quantify emissions related to practices, created a hands-on Excel based calculation tool (“course-level carbon footprint”) and suggested improvements as well as future extensions.
