I am Janvier Egah from Benin. I am Assistant Professor at the Department of Rural Economy and Sociology, Faculty of Agronomy of University of Parakou (Benin). I am the Head of research unit “Food and Nutrition al Security, Gender, local development under climate change of Laboratory Society-Environment (LaSEn). Agricultural Engineer in rural economy and sociology, he holds a Master research in Sociology of Natural Resources of University of Parakou (Benin) and a PhD in Socioeconomics of rural development at University of Abomey-Calavi (Benin). Using the quantitative and qualitative methods, my research currently focuses on climate change, food security, gender, agro-biodiversity, migration, agro-pastoralism, endogenous knowledge, etc. Moreover, I work on evaluation/ capitalization of development programs/ projects, agricultural financing, conception of strategies documents, value chains, food security, etc. Since 2020, I have been a leader in agriculture and climate change through African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) and Agropolis' One Planet Fellowship program since 2020. In this program, I benefited a postdoc stay at Wageningen University & Research, preciously in Development Economics Group (DEC) and Environmental Economics and Natural Resources. In this group, I work mainly on impact assessment of weather and climate information on households food security in Benin under the supervision of Erwin Bulte and Zhu Xueqin.
