While CRISPR-Cas has revolutionized genome editing by enabling precise DNA alterations, CRISPR-Cas-based gene drive technology allows these genetic changes to rapidly spread through entire populations. Typically used for pest control, in this thesis gene drive technology is exploited to modify DNA in baker's yeast, demonstrating effective genetic changes across generation
