Since 2010 Wageningen Environmental Research (WENR) has been updating the soil map of the Netherlands, scale 1 : 50 000. The update focuses mainly on characteristics that can change over time under the influence of natural processes or as a result of interventions. This report describes the methods used to update the soil map and the results for areas in the province of Flevoland with a Pleistocene subsoil deeper than 0.8 metres below the surface.
