LEB Travel Fund - applicant information
Do you want to visit a scientific meeting, go on a study trip or follow a specific training? Apply to the LEB Travel Fund! The LEB Travel Fund stimulates developments in research at Wageningen University and Research (WUR) by providing financial support to PhD-candidates and researchers up to 35 years.
Maximum funding amount
There is a maximum funding amount available for each activity. Funding is not provided for personal expenses, purchase costs of materials and equipment, normal publication costs, regular already planned trips (e.g. in the TSP).
An individual can qualify for funding twice, as long as the grants fall into different categories.

Co-funding
The LEB Travel Fund provides funding based on the principle of co-funding. In principle, the fund subsidises 50% of the total costs.
Be aware that costs that have been claimed for funding by another UFW fund or other grantors cannot be claimed again.
You will receive your grant afterwards and based on expenses actually incurred; you need to send us your expenses report within two months after your trip. If not, the grant will expire without further notice.
Also, the application must be submitted at least 1 month before the trip otherwise it will not be considered.
