Muskan - MSc Environmental Biobased Technology - WUR Career Day 2024

Hello everyone, I'm Muskan, currently in the final year of my Master’s in Biotechnology (Environmental and Biobased Technology). During my internship search, I applied for a 1-1 interview with NoPalm Ingredients at WUR Career Day. I was drawn to their mission of creating a sustainable palm oil alternative and their innovative use of microbiology in production. After preparing through the "CV Check" and "How to Prepare for an Interview" workshops, I successfully advanced through multiple interview rounds and secured a 6-month R&D internship. My role focused on screening various feedstocks for improved oil production.

Beyond securing my internship, the WUR Career Day was invaluable in expanding my professional network, something I know will benefit me in the future.

My advice for fellow students is to take full advantage of Student Career Services and attend company events to explore your interests. As an international student, I was under the pressure to integrate into the Dutch job market, and the WUR Career Day played a crucial role in building my network.
