I had the pleasure of working on a BSc thesis at the Laboratory of Nematology, which was absolutely fascinating. I investigated the interesting area of fungal community characterization in nematode-suppressive soils using the cutting-edge nanopore sequencing method. I investigated the complex connection between nematodes and fungi in soil ecosystems in which nanopore sequencing technology offers new details about their role in regulating soil health.
