Tool tip: simplify the NWO registration of your research output
When you receive funding from NWO, you have to add your research output to the NWO ISAAC database. This registration process can be very time-consuming. A new tool, the ISAAC Chrome extension reduces this administrative burden.
ISAAC Chrome extension
The ISAAC Chrome extension helps to add your research output to the NWO ISAAC database in a less time-consuming way. The extension can automatically fill in the correct metadata of your publications. It collects the metadata from several databases (Crossref, DataCite, and mEDRA (DOI), Google Books, OpenLibrary (ISBN), PubMed (PubMed identifiers) and Unpaywall (OA status)). You only need to add a DOI, PubMed identifier, or ISBN yourself.
Independent, open source tool
This browser extension is not built or supported by NWO. It has been independently created by Egon & Lars Willighagen. The use of the extension is at your own risk. The plug-in was launched in March 2022 and is still in development. The programmers welcome your feedback (Twitter).
Workflow tip and contact
To facilitate the workflow, you can create a list of the DOIs of your publications with your Scopus profile. You can then export your publications as a csv and filter on NWO grant mentions in the funding text field. If you need assistance with this, please contact the Library, team Research Support.
