Student Education Experience Session on Boundary Crossing
Colleagues from the Education Experience Team conducted a student education experience session on Boundary Crossing.
Students mainly think about international and cultural boundaries when discussing the concept of boundary crossing. This seems most top-of-mind and many examples and solutions they developed focus on these kind of boundaries. Emphasizing the other type of boundaries (disciplinary, academia-society boundaries) is therefore relevant in grasping the whole concept of boundary crossing.
The goal of the sessions was to investigate what students' thoughts, experiences, and needs regarding the concept of 'Boundary Crossing' are. By discussing their current experiences and thoughts, students were encouraged to think about their needs when it comes to 'Boundary Crossing' and work on potential ideas and solutions as well.
