Student testimonial
Friso - I have worked with people who have graduated from WUR and that convinced me even more as I saw their knowledge and working style.
My prior education is International Agri-business and Trade and a Master in Management Studies is a logical next step following my previous studies. I wanted to study something different than my Bachelor and enhance my theoretical knowledge.
Study choice
I am still considering the various profiles that I can enrol in. But whatever the choice is, it would be a good one due to several facts. Having in mind the agri-business angle of the Wageningen University, it is more specialized than the rest of the universities. This in a later phase would give much more chances in the business area as Wageningen University is not just a name, but it stands for something. Besides, I have worked with people who have graduated from WU and that convinced me even more as I saw their knowledge and working style.
My opinion of Wageningen, as a place to study and a city to live in, is that it is very small, which can be a disadvantage to a lot of people as there is not much to do. What I also hope to improve is the practical orientation of the courses and the lecturers' proficiency of the English language as this is vital for students to understand the material well. All in all, my ultimate dream is to "conquer the world" meaning that I would like to work in an international company in a big city with a cosmopolitan environment. It does not matter so much if it is a business or governmental institution, it could also be an NGO like the UN, but my future endeavors should be connected to agri-business.
