Implementing and updating existing building blocks
The Wageningen Modelling Group has set up tools to help modelers improve and assess the quality of their models: a Model Gallery, a Good Modelling Practice wiki and a Quality audit methodology were developed. A small budget is asked to maintain and further improve these tools. An effort will be made to further involve the model community in updating, using and improving these tools.
As a result of the activities of the WMG in the period 2019-2022, the Model Gallery and the wiki on Good Modelling Practices are online (version 1.0) and the Quality audit process has been developed and is being used.
In 2023 there will be a shift in focus from developing these building blocks (model gallery / GMP wiki / quality assessment) to maintenance, updating and encouraging the usage of these building blocks. The community will be encouraged to contribute new and missing information to the wiki.
It is important to keep these building blocks up to date and alive so that modelers and other users at WUR have access to up to date information and methods. All the building blocks will help to increase cooperation, share methods and knowledge and improve and secure model quality.
