Types of research

The research that Wageningen University & Research conducts for the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature is financed through various financial flows. Policy Support Research contributes directly to the social tasks of the ministry, Knowledge Basic Research lays the foundation for research that will be needed in 3 to 5 years, and Statutory Research Tasks arise from obligations of the ministry based on (inter)national legislation.
