Project
Verhogen duurzaamheid voedselverwerking in de keten
One of the key issues within the MMIP D3 is to improve the level of sustainability of food processing in the value chain from agri-production to consumable product. The sustainability of food processing should be considered across this full chain, beginning at the farm, and including steps such as sorting, washing and storage. The chain consists of various companies which each have different interests.
The project aims to identify bottlenecks for the improvement of the sustainability level of food processing, to develop a decision framework on the aggregate level of food processing, and to develop solutions (societal, economic, technological) for a systemic transition towards sustainable food processing in the chain as part of a circular bio-economy.
