Project
Staat van de Landbouw
The Netherlands Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality has a continuous need for general, social, economic and ecological interpretations on fixed topics of developments in agriculture, nature and the food chain. This 'need to know' information is required for an important primary process of the Ministry, namely the interaction with the Lower House (e.g. by answering questions from Parliament). In addition, the information is needed to justify LNV policy. The information must be clearly explained and its meaning must be explained.
In 2021, the LNV departments SK&I and EIA started the development of a State of Agriculture. In addition to various ongoing projects such as the input-output analysis, the annual income estimates for agriculture and horticulture, an (interactive) publication 'The State of Agriculture, Nature and Food' will be issued. The purpose of this publication is to interpret the developments in the field of LNV. This publication contains facts and figures with in-depth analyses on the themes agriculture, nature and food. This makes the publication an ideal one-stop-shop where policy officers and other interested parties can quickly gain insight into data and analyses on the various themes in which the Ministry of LNV is active.
