European Topic Centre on Climate Change Adaptation and LULUCF (ETC-CA)
The European Topic Center on Climate Change Adaptation and LULUCF (ETC CA) is part of the European Environment Agency (EEA). The ETC CA is developing a knowledge base that supports European member states in policies for adapting to the effects of climate change.
Activities: developing knowledge about the effects of climate change in agriculture. The contribution of Wageningen Environmental Research focuses on making knowledge available about climate resilience of agriculture and nature-based adaptation solutions.
Implementation: the project focuses on supporting the national climate policy agenda and acts as an international benchmark for that policy. Examples are given of successful climate adaptation in Europe, with short-term actions for climate-proof and biodiversity-oriented adaptation for agriculture.
