BroilerNet
BroilerNet aims to improve the resilience of the European broiler sector by tackling challenges on the three themes animal welfare, health and sustainability. This will be done via Broiler Innovation Networks in each partner country. These networks consist of farmers and other sector stakeholders. Together they will define the challenges they currently face, and how these can be solved by the application of good practices.
These good practices will be widely communicated via the networks and via the media, to enable uptake of these by farmers and thus to improve the resilience of the sector. BroilerNet thus follows a bottom-up approach where farmers and other sector stakeholders are in the lead to define their challenges and to develop solutions, with the help of research partners.
